Stillhouse Press launched two new novels in November, T.N. Eyer’s Finding Meaning in the Age of Immortality and Josh Denslow’s Super Normal. These publications represent the first novels and the first works of speculative fiction published by Stillhouse Press, an independent teaching press staffed by students and alumni of George Mason University's graduate and undergraduate creative writing programs and affiliated with Mason’s Watershed Lit: Center for Literary Engagement and Publishing Practice.

On November 8th, the Alan Cheuse International Writers Center will convene four poets, to read and discuss their work on the Arlington campus’s Mason Exhibitions art gallery. Edited by poets Carolyn Forché and Ilya Kaminsky, this anthology is a critical reminder of the struggles Ukrainians are facing in light of war, and serves as a beacon of hope, determination, and reckoning for Ukrainians across the globe in their continual fight for democracy.

MFA poetry student Arpita Roy has been selected as the winner of the Bread Loaf Katharine Bakeless Nason Contributor Award in Poetry for the 2023 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. For this highly competitive award, she was chosen out of a pool of 2,500 applicants.
