NVWP July Educator's Conference: Ride the Wave of Literacy Changes

Sessions include topics on integrating poetry regularly in instruction, effective tech tools (the kind that serve instruction, not big tech) and alternative approaches to grading. Teachers who attend the full conference will receive a certificate of attendance confirming six hours of professional development which may count toward recertification credits and/or professional development contract days.
When: Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 9:00 - 3:00 (lunch will be served)

10:30 - 10:45 (break/bookshop)
10:45 - 11:45 (second session - Yarbough: Virtual Field Trips)
11:45 - 12:50 (lunch bunch with Heinneman folks) or talking about. AI
12:50 - 1:05 (break/bookshop)
1:05 - 2:05 (third session - Dutton: Groovelit)
2:05 - 3:00 (fourth session - Goetsch: Alternative Grading & Closing Thoughts/Remarks)
